Cellcard uplifts Cambodian spirit via world kickboxing

Cellcard, Cambodia’s largest telecommunication network and leading technology provider, offered full support for a major sporting event that has become a source of national pride at an appropriate time.

Through sponsorship, Cellcard was instrumental in bringing the first truly international World Title Kickboxing competition to the country. Overseas champions Frankie Hudders and Alban Ahmedi were pitted against Cambodian champions Vorn Viva and Meas Chantha.

Cellcard extended its support by rewarding the grands champions of the night for a job well done. At a formal awarding held on 30 August 2008, Vorn Viva and Meas Chantha each received a Cellcard gold number complete with a one-year subscription.

The well-attended World Title Kickboxing Championship event took place at the Olympic Stadium Indoor Arena on August 28, 2008. A bout between Cambodian kickboxers Vorn Viva and Meas Chantha opened for the main fight of the night.
